MARSI BIONICS receives help within the RETOS 2016 call with the support of RTDI

On December 14, the granting of aid corresponding to the Challenges-Collaboration call of the State Program for Research, Development and Innovation Oriented to the Challenges of Society was definitively resolved. It grants MARSI BIONICS the aid to execute the EXORAPI project, aimed at the personalization of pediatric exoskeletons as an alternative to physical therapy of children with serious neuromuscular diseases, and with a budget of more than € 800,000.

In this way, MARSI BIONICS leads the project, together with the company Mecanizados Escribano and with the participation as agents of the R + D + i of: Eurecat Technological Center, Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC) and Hospital Sant Joan de Deu.

With this project, a walking exoskeleton will be developed for therapeutic use in children affected by neuromuscular diseases (NMD), specifically Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, pursuing the ultimate goal of improving their quality of life and delaying the worsening of their physical condition.

For two years now, MARSI BIONICS has had the support of RTDI to work on new R&D&I projects that can add value within the health sector.

Currently, MARSI BIONICS has a line of pediatric exoskeletons for MND. With this new development it will be possible to expand the range of potential users, covering a greater percentage of patients.
