RTDI will coordinate PREFET, a proactive observatory for the early identification of technological trends, after winning an H2020 CSA FET

PREFET, the proactive observatory for the early identification of technological trends, which will be strongly linked to social responsibility and the future potential for the construction of R&D&I projects, has been one of the winning proposals in the last Call of FET CSA.

RTDI will lead the consortium formed by Linknovate, Trilateral Research and De Monfort University, having obtained a total funding of 553,000 euros for the next year and a half. With this help, PREFET, a unique trend observatory in the world, will be launched. The latest artificial intelligence technologies will be combined, along with human intelligence and social intelligence, with the aim of pre-validating future and emerging technologies. Responsible research and innovation (RRI) will also be incorporated into the context of these technologies and researchers who want to participate in these technologies will be helped to build winning project ideas.

Through activities such as IdeAcademy or a Trendington Event, PREFET will be able to bring together in a single project the brightest and most promising minds of the world panorama in R + D + i, which will allow to identify technological flows that are expected to be a trend in a few years. PREFET will also work to maximize the alignment of all these technological activities and outcomes with social needs, ensuring that in the future investment is channeled towards “real technological trends”.
