Much more than a simple app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1170\" height=\"225\" src=\"https:\/\/rtdi.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/insulclock_logo_retina-1170x225-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-267\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rtdi.eu\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/insulclock_logo_retina-1170x225-1.png 1170w, https:\/\/rtdi.eu\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/insulclock_logo_retina-1170x225-1-768x148.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1170px) 100vw, 1170px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the World Health Organization (WHO), there are currently 415 million people with diabetes in the world and by 2040, this figure will reach 642 million. 1 in 4 diabetes patients rely on insulin injections daily, and Type 2 and gestational diabetics sporadically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The main problems faced by people with diabetes in their day to day are control and lack of adherence to insulin treatment, which can cause problems as serious as vision loss, retinopathies, non-traumatic amputations or even death. The fact that adherence to treatment is currently 64% is a problem that we can eradicate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aware of this problem, Jos\u00e9 Luis L\u00f3pez and Jes\u00fas Arenas, Co-founders of Insulcloud, S.L., decided to join forces to solve it through INSULCLOCK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>INSULCLOCK is a project of the technology-based pharmaceutical startup, a pioneer in the development of state-of-the-art devices for the control and monitoring of chronic diseases. The first system developed has been INSULCLOCK\u00ae, which allows perfect control in the administration of insulin to insulin-dependent diabetic patients, turning the insulin delivery pen into a smart pen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>INSULCLOCK \u00ae is the only device on the market that automatically connects (without human action) the insulin pen with the digital environment (Smartphone, PC and cloud), storing key information for the patient and\/or their caregiver and their doctor in a single click. It is not an app, it is a system composed of a device that uses an app to communicate all the information. This data center, never before created in the market, is capable of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Monitor<\/strong> the administration of treatment <strong>(when, how much and what type of insulin automatically 24\/7).<\/strong><\/li><li>Save glucose levels* (*currently manually).<\/li><li>Ensure the <strong>conservation of the properties of insulin<\/strong>, knowing at what temperature it is.<\/li><li>Generate <strong>alarms to avoid errors, forgetfulness, overdose<\/strong>, which lead to hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia that seriously affect the patient&#8217;s health and quality of life.<\/li><li>Make the <strong>diabetic&#8217;s notebook automatically<\/strong> and with total fidelity to what is really happening with the administration of the treatment, <strong>controlling insulin doses, glucose levels, notes and photos of meals.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Generate <\/strong>Excel and PDF reports with the medical history of the administration of the drug.<\/li><li>Involve a tutor (s<strong>)<\/strong> so that they are informed promptly of our evolution.<\/li><li>Establish <strong>direct communication<\/strong> with our endocrine doctor and\/or diabetic educator, allowing you to have access to data in real time.<\/li><li>Improve the administration of the treatment thanks to our system that encourages the patient to maintain the recommended ten seconds of puncture, insulinizing correctly.<\/li><li><strong>Compatible<\/strong> with most insulin pens.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Last March INSULCLOCK\u00ae went on the market in Spain after obtaining the CE marking.
