If will be held in the week of 27 to 30 September, FET DISRUPTIVE PROJECT IDEAS WEEK<\/strong>, we will carry out this training IdeAcademy<\/strong> where we propose to show how to collect the information about the session to add it to the public dossier and the platform of the event. We remind you that this event is a 4-day online course where the main technological trends for long-term R&D and social impact will be discussed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Good communication greatly facilitates human life in general. Today, as the speed of emergence of new mechanisms increases, differences between generations in the communication channels they use and how they use them grow. Research becomes even more complex and is based on interdisciplinary efforts. We believe that this training can help researchers to focus on the future and that emerging technologies better explain their ideas and projects both to people working with them on joint projects, as well as to host and\/or funding institutions or other potential stakeholders, as well as to potential end-users, to policy makers and society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this context, some new ways of talking about radically new technologies in their early stages of development will be explored, analyzing how they impact on critical elements for communication to be effective (such as the message and the receiver), and in which cases they offer the best opportunities. In this way, in the future, participants will be able to choose between different options and implement this decision with reduced initial barriers.
The mechanisms that will be presented include TED talks, blogs, mini-books, memes, masterclasses and Twitch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Objectives:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The following question will have to be asked: What will it be useful for? (as clear and concise as possible, potentially giving some example or context of application):<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Reflect together on what are the key elements for effective communication, we will make these new ways of working worthwhile.
\u2022 Introduce concepts and techniques of narration as bases on which communication mechanisms are built.
\u2022 Introduce the basics on how to prepare an effective TED talk and what they are most useful for.
\u2022 Explore the potential of online text content (blogs, mini-books) and audiovisual content (memes, masterclasses).
\u2022 Showcase the potential created by eme emeging ging participatory streaming channels (such as Twitch).
\u2022 Increase understanding and practical information by exploring real-world examples.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, head of strategy and projects of the European Commission and deputy head of the FET Unit (Future and emerging technologies) previously FET researcher at VUB AI-lab, and entrepreneur at Starlab.
He is a pioneer in the use of new communication mechanisms for Euopaen Famewok Pogamme, as in his Tedx talk on “The Deep Future”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eva Garc\u00eda Munti\u00f3n<\/strong>, CEO of RTDI:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

20 years managing R&D&I projects of European SMEs and R&D&I institutions, having supported more than 350 projects during the stages of ideation, development and exploitation, mainly focused on improving their market and\/or social fit and reinforcing their orientation towards a purpose, increasing their differentiation and innovative potential, and creating a critical mass around them. In 2008, she founded RTDI to develop her own vision for how this support could be offered, and today she is honored to work with best-in-class colleagues who complement this vision. In this context, in the last 4 years they have developed a strong focus on helping to develop skills related to research and innovation (hard, such as biotechnology and deep ICTs; as well as soft ones, such as communication and strategic thinking). It has also trained more than 2,000 people in these areas, developing its own learning methodology, dynamics, tools and materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
